We Are All Soup

We are all soup.
A concoction of different opinions, ideas, and perceptions others hold of us. But here's the catch: those opinions about us are often stirred up with a sprinkle of personal filters and hidden biases.
Some people might size you up before even saying hello, while others might brush off your achievements or side line your potential, all because they're seeing you through their own tinted glasses.
Managers might overlook your experience and deny promotions based on their own past and because they didn't walk the same path at your age so, “how could you be ready to?!", while others might feel threatened by your potential.
Someone might be shocked to find that you have a degree, your own business and have been a manager for years, because their foggy filter told them that “pink hair and glitter= all sparkle and no substance”*
If someone can't see your worth through their own un-tasty lens, don't let it stop you from creating your own magical recipe for success! You don’t need people who make cloudy pickle soup.
*BTW, my soup is full of substance AND glitter, thankyou kindly 😋
